natureA Poem by jade sondersomething i worked on a while ago
you were both light and darkness all at once
like a lone star in the sky on a cloudy night to be wished upon over and over again you were a culmination of leaves in the park during the fall ready to be jumped in and played with and you were bright, colorful flowers during the spring eagerly awaiting all who would gather to revel in your aroma you were a crashing wave in a relentless tempest an earth-shattering clap of thunder echoing through the land and all of the rain that followed closely behind you were the sun disappearing behind the mountains and the moon in all her forms especially the fullest you were everything this world had to offer me but i've never been one to realize how much i appreciate the leaves on the trees until they've all fallen to the ground
