Native Pride

Native Pride

A Poem by Megan
"

I wrote this after crap happened and I can relate to it and I hope you guys like it.

"
I see the black clouds closing in,
I hear the whisper of the grass.
I feel the winds tension,
Now here comes the storm.

My Native instinct is telling me to run
But my Native Pride is holding on.

Now the storm is here,
Hear the  thunder clap above my Native head.
As the rain like ice pours down on my shoulders.
Everything goes silent, as silent can be,
than came the cry of the lone wolf........

It's time to flee.

But my Native Pride is to strong, it's still hanging on,
to what this night could be, the best for you and me.

"Flee!Flee!" my instincts are screaming.
"Stay, stay and hold on to the Natives' Pride."

So now I know,
I stay cause of my stupidity
and try to withstand Fate.

I lost track of time.
My Native Pride is lost within the storm.
As the storm comes tumbling over me.
