Leader

This poem was inspired by the film Mulan and I'm not talking about the Disney one, she just wanted to give up but as a General in the army she knew she couldn't.

I entered this land with good intentions,

A great longing to improve this nation,

I never intended such complications,

The death toll rising at every station,

I just want to give up.

There just aren't any other options,

I must go on with this terrible fight,

Prepare yourself to be my sacrifice,

There is going to be bloodshed tonight,

I'll die as one of you.
