False Hope

False Hope

A Poem by babybleu
"

For when you are giving up on something and then someone appears to offer you help.

"
Wet and cold from the pouring rain,
Lying numb feeling all the shame,
Extreme torture without a touch,
Moving feels like it's far too much,
But you hold out your hand to me,
Saying things that I have to believe,
It's giving me hope of some kind,
For the moment I dry my eyes.
I look back and the hand is gone,
Kicking myself for not holding on,
Come laugh at the fool that is me,
Crumbled fallen on my knees,
It was no hand that came to help,
Just the poison from someone else,
Stay wrapped up in my naivety,
No more false hope for me please.
