Dedicated to my best friend and i because she said she didn't want to let go and i didn't want to give up

"I don't want to let go"
She says,
eyes intense,
when she cries in bed.
"I don't want to give up"
She tells.
When she knows there's nothing left to try for
Nothing there to die for.
"What else can we do?"
Stand here miserable,
or walk.
And we walk.
And do nothing but talk.
"I can't throw everything away"
Everything she worked for.
Everything we swore for.
And promised.
"But we have to let go"
She has to let go.
I have to let go.
Through the sun and through the snow
We'll always let go.
Together.
But we don't want to let go.
