Why Bother?

another edited version of the same friend's poem with their permission obviously

I loved you with my life
only saw you in my sight.
even though i cared for you everyday,
not letting other girls get in the way,
you threw it back in my face.
I wanted you to stay but you went with the other.
So i put my head in my hands and said,
"why bother?"
I wanted to talk
but you ignored my plea.
my anger got the best of me.
i tried to maintain my cool
yet i ended up being the fool
cause we got in that fight
and it all ended that night.
You had no right to be yelling at me
cause you were the one acting unfaithfully.
so get out of my face
you're the disgrace.
I don't know why you're still here
talking to me,
i told you to get going--
now go. . .flee
