Love Lies

i built a wall not to keep people out but to keep myself from hurting.
you say "i love you" but it goes down to just caring...
everyone cares, but no one knows how to love me.
i didn't BLOCK any people out, i just wanted to see how many people would
SEARCH me out.
who would take their time to pull me through?

Forever hearing those hurtful words...

"I Love You"

collapsing and trembling under false affection.
putting those fake smiles in my mental collection...
listening to love songs that are made for someone else...

everyone except for me.

stop saying i love you, they're pointless words.
gather all the memories, dangling from painful cords.
abandoned and abused i grow so tired of all the lies.
let me lay and break my ties.
let me close my eyes and slowly die...

i hate you...did you know?

my love ceased, my heart crumbled...
just leave me be and don't be troubled...
not because of someone like me.

the one without love.
