A Touch Of Evil

A Touch Of Evil

A Poem by b4i8islept

A Touch Of Evil

Evil slowly upon me does sneak

Like a chamber with a slow gas leak

Poison to my mind, darkness to my heart

The falling of the thick veil does start

Chilled fingerlings up my spine do crawl

Like snowflakes of winter as they fall

The fog of iniquity bellows through my mind

As I slowly jump through the rings of time

Wrapped around prison of fingers around my throat

My chances of escaping are more and more remote

Dragging me down to pits of sludge vile

Threaded through the needles of denial

To the septic reasons I no longer understand

I repose in the cryptic chamber of the forgotten man
