A Touch Of Insanity

A Touch Of Insanity

A Poem by b4i8islept

A Touch Of Insanity

Effigies of you float before my eyes

Unattainable breaches of butterflies

An envelope of secreting dark around

My head is dosed by the pound

Bloodstains ringed buried like a seed

I am eaten and swallowed by my own feed

Ligatures of solace thread my needle eye

Like tears of silent rain falling from a cruel sky

I drink the water of bitter berries to the taste

The poison virtue hidden by gold and lace

Reposed with crossed fingers upon my chest

I drink the last drop from the taboo rest
