It's All Been Heard

It's All Been Heard

A Poem by Brenda Speegle
"

A dark look at life after the infidelity.

"

I am no longer whole. I think you know.
You are still whole. That was your goal.
To have me sucked into a big black hole.
Sucked me all up, body and soul.

Laugh at me. What your love did to me.
Look hard at me. I know you see.
My eyes are dead, completely empty.
The black hole took all of me.

Spat into this place. No saving face.
I left this place. You altered my fate.
You've no heart or soul. I dread each day.
My heart is gone leaving an empty place.

My soul has vanished. Inside is void.
Love has vanished. You stole life's joy.
You’ve taken it all, I am almost destroyed.
You played my life with childish joy.

There is no more. Echos of your words.
Say no more, All you said was heard.
Cruelty in a voice that once assured,
Now slaps at me and it hurts.
