Chapter 3

As soon as I get to my car I unlock it. “Shawn, come on, get in.

Now I know that might not sound like much but that’s the first time I've ever offered to let him ride in my car. It’s a black Ferrari.

We get to my house in 5 minutes flat. And I drove about 150 MPH.

“Remind me to never let you drive me anywhere ever again.” Shawn says looking a little green as we head into my room.

Raven comes out of her room long enough to ask “why”

“I got a message from Cobra.”

“Oh,” she looks at Shawn with pity, “Don’t worry, you'll be fine, and honestly I’d rather be in the car with her when she drives like that then behind her, and trust me she doesn't always drive like that.” She goes back into her room.

“So who’s Cobra?” Shawn asks again.

“Remember when we met, how I did odd jobs?”

“Yes”

“Well Cobra is who you were supposed to take out. Cobra has enough people that he gives orders to that I bet that only maybe 10 people have met him.  Oh yeah did I ever tell you that you had the wrong guy all along? But you knew that, because all along you wanted to bring the real Cobra out. The name you know him by is Raymond.”

While talking I had gotten my laptop out. Why the rush you may ask, well if you don’t send an email within 30 minutes then Cobra assumes that you aren't going to accept his job and sends someone to kill you.

Pulling up my email I send an email to [email protected] with the subject being Cobra and the message, I have many cobras, do you want one.

One minute later I got a reply

You mission is to find what is in the syringe, and then find out who tried to kill me with it. As you know only 9 other people have direct access to me and 10 others have indirect access to me. Once you know find them and kill them. You’ve changed enough that no one should recognize you. If you do the job right, you shall have my protection for a year. Here are the names of people that have access to me

Reading it out loud made it all seem so real.

I look at Shawn when I finish reading.

“How hard do you think this will be?” he asks.

“The fact he came to me and what I get in return I would say basically impossible.

I quickly type a reply

How did they try to kill you? Who was with you? Anyone not where they should have been?

 

I hit send and hold my breath.

A second later I get an IM from Cobra

Cobra: hello darling

Rachel: hi

 

I start a group and send Raven a message to join and Shawn gets onto my other laptop so that he can get on to. Why do I have two laptops? Because its easer to hack with two.

Raven: Hi

Shawn: Hi

Cobra: how is everyone?

Shawn: let’s skip the pleasantries and get down to business

Raven: I'm with Shawn

Cobra: ok

Rachel: I assume you got my reply

Cobra: of course

Raven: Can I see the note and the emails please?

Rachel: sure come in here and you can look at them and Shawn and Cobra can chat until you get catch

              up

Raven: thanks

Cobra: um what about the mission

Shawn: well Raven needs to get catch up don’t you think

Cobra: Sure, back to the pleasantries

Shawn: Screw waiting on Raven

Raven: Hey!

Rachel: Cobra’s right back to the pleasantries. Because like it or not we are all on this mission together

              And Shawn is the only one who has not worked with Cobra before. So Shawn, just chat with 

              Cobra

             While I get Raven caught up.

Shawn: so

Cobra: so your 21

Shawn: yea

Cobra: a little old for an 18 year old, don’t you think

Shawn: NO!

Cobra: well I don’t know how good it would be for her, do you really think that’s what's best

Rachel: off this subject

Rachel: cobra is 5’11 w/brown hair and brown eyes he has an athletic build and is 24.

Rachel: work with that

Rachel: just don’t talk about me

Rachel: or raven

Raven: thanks

Shawn: I think I've met a man who fits that description

Cobra: well I know that you have never met me

Shawn: are you sure

Raven: I'm caught up

Cobra: Jessica, Lydia and Mary Lynn had been with me all day

Cobra: as far as I know no one was anywhere but where they should be

Rachel: but for all day everyone but them three girls could have been doing whatever they wanted

Cobra: well yes but they all have people who will vouch that they did nothing but what they should have

             Been doing

Raven: what were you doing with three girls?

Cobra: let’s not go there

Shawn: sicko

Rachel: Shawn!

Cobra: no not sick, it’s not anything like that, its love

Shawn: oh yes I'm so sure

Rachel: so how did someone try to kill you?

Cobra: you little b***h

Raven: Everyone

Cobra: blow dart

Rachel: Great

Raven: Rachel, can you do it?

Rachel: of course raven

Cobra: I've got business, Rachel drive over sooner or later and bring raven and Shawn. Nobody can know

            Do you understand? Oh and Rachel the old rules still apply.

 

“I got to get home” Shawn says.

“Bye” Raven says

“I’ll drive you home” I offer.

“No, its ok I think I’ll walk.”

“I’ll drive you Shawn” Raven offers

“Thanks” Shawn replies

“Screw y’all” I say

Three hours later

I open up my computer and log on to the chat room and create a room.

I automatically invite Cobra, Raven, and Shawn.

Shawn has joined the room

Shawn: Hi Rachel, how are you

Rachel: good did you miss my driving

Shawn: NO

Rachel: ha-ha

Raven has joined the room

Raven:   y’all talking about anything important

Rachel: Shawn was telling me how much he missed my driving

Shawn: no I wasn’t

Raven: y’all r so going to get married
Shawn: um

Rachel: Raven!

Cobra has joined the room

Cobra: good afternoon

Cobra: I have more information for you

Rachel: what is it?

Cobra: I got a note saying that unless I called you off the case then you would be killed.

Cobra: only the people on the list I gave you know you are on the case.

Rachel: how is that a clue?

Cobra: well it is a clue because that means that ether someone is a leak

Cobra: or one of them did it.

Cobra: check out the Keeth family first.
