As It Flows

As It Flows

A Poem by Brandon

As it flows so thick and red,
the sharpened blade beside my bed.

I start to think and all I see
are images of you and me.

I wish you were here by my side
just so I didn't have to hide

in the darkness of my room
all I can think of is my doom.

Thinking back on what you said
thoughts are churning in my head,

and all I want to do is know
if you'll still love me when you go.

This has the flow of a song. Words are small and brief but connected to human memories and emotions. Enjoyed. Thanks for sharing.
