Mind-Drop

Mind-Drop

A Poem by Jerisson
"

Just a bunch of words brought out by a catalyst.

"
Execute the code
to bring up the
object of my desire,
but to no objections is it a mere thing

It bring the sparkle to my eye
after years of being blind,
a mere sight to behold

I hold myself,
prisoner in my own castle,
chained away to prevent
the days of darkness from coming again

I beg to you,
my friend,
my mere self,
to accept yourself as you are,
for we are one and the same

This balance is not to be trifled with,
or the snake will merely consume itself
in its own heated passion

Backlashed into past year's trifles,
merely holding my own actions as a rifle,
but no bullets of motivation to keep me
from being mowed down by own illusions

A mere smoke and mirrors
keeps me in the fog of war,
looking for the route
in the middle of the darkness,
only to find paranoia

The only solace to find
is the lights around me,
that guide me ever so slowly
to my own truth,
of who I am,
was,
and will be,
by my own creation

All I need is a single light
to join me on my journey
through my own mind,
if it would be so kind

So dim realness
would be brought back
to a bright fantasy sprialing around me,
but fantasies no more

The white wall stands in my path,
with a single door,
and as I hold the key,
I know not what do with it

The simplest options
are the toughest decisions,
cause you know not what awaits you beyond that door

And as that future
pours down into your very soul,
you only hope you have the heart
to bear the darkness
