Life's References

A Poem by Jerisson
"

Felt like bringing in some of the influences in my life to one piece of paper.

"
Training my way to the top
Gotta catch them all
Like a teenage phantom
Ghosts haunting me, in and out
All about
Like the rays of the red sun

A mere alien in his own world
I live within the darkness
A mere shadow due to the
Eternum Nocturne
of my own mind
Conflicting me as a child

To bring about the tears
of when it rains
A process of equivalent exchange
Where I trade in my sadness
For an equal mass of frustration

I exorcise the demons out of my soul
With the blue flames of passion
The burning bachatero
Pidiendo que me rechacen
As I discover the relationship
Of a sound mind and body from a sound soul

The madness in my eyes
Merely reflects
The gaze that will pierce the heavens
As time goes by
But it will not be so
As I retain a link to the past

So I zoom ahead,
living and learning
Yearning to discover the way
A mere warrior of life
Can gain the crest for promotion
Into a new level

And so I continue
Hopping the platforms
And busting through the obstacles
In my path
With nothing but sharpened words
And loaded stanzas
Ready to enter the battlefield
Of my struggles
And come out a Champion
