A Bachatero's Rant

A Bachatero's Rant

A Poem by Jerisson
"

Just more of my dedication to my crush. This summer has a lot of past behind it, leading to the future.

"
Her vocals are an epic,
She speaks pure poetry
Reflecting thoughts like a mirror
Throwing whatever life throws at me

Back

I get heart attacks for butterflies
Every time she takes a step
Rhythmic motions for walking
With that bachata blood boiling

A strict method for learning
First in life is an education
Educating the masses
While still attending classes

Passing the grades
To get past obstacles
Obstacles which once obstructed
The blue wind which analyzed
And blew past it

Ignoring past circumstances
Haunting like a shadow
The darkness of an eternal nightmare
Leaving even the greatest backs sore

The wings soar
And of course evolve
Go ahead and catch them all

All the problems of the world
Let them unfurl
In your very soul
The spirit that, once whole,
Grew ignorant

But now moves educated
Due to pieces of a broken heart
Ripped apart
By the very fabric of being

Let this now educated fellow
Educate in the art of humanities
But not those of writing

The humanities of insanity
The social life,
Living with humans
Talking about the days,
You know,
"just hangin'"

No interest yet in banging
Just a mere crush
So don't crush me with peer pressure
Just give me a chance,
I can't offer a dance
But I can offer my hand

For now, a date
For later, a kiss
Not for long, a marriage
And forever, a love

Maybe, I don't know.
We'll just see how it blossoms
Is it a rose meant to grow,
Or just die on the spot
I don't know what will happen
So can we see what this couple's got?

So now I just have one thing, you see,
It's a small phrase, but strong,
"Will you go out with me?"
