Declaration and Retaliation

What started as a conversation turned into a poetry session between me and my brother from another mother.

Part 1: Declaration by Thomas Sosa

 

Well you know what she can go somewhere with it,

because i was the fool and i was not worthy, so now I'm lost...

There are no other girls in sight yet I see so many...

 

Like the birds from the southwest, I'm gonna fall from the sky,

and give up any hope that I have as a guy.

Who makes someone happy in the very near future,

cause I just don't have the energy to look for girls in Jupiter.

 

Clearly in this earth there for me exists no dame,

probably because I'm sweet and have no notoriotic fame...

For not being effective in the way I play the game,

for going through all this and making my mistakes the same.

 

Now I ain't looking for a girl who would give herself up.

I'm only looking for a chick with whom I can share a bond...

But you could never understand because you've just never been this lost.

Now look who's Mr. Poet.

I guess you didn't know it,

and just to say ...I do understand my bro, my man.

 

I've faced the constant failure of my master plan.

You took the path of giving up,

while I kept going, never saying enough is enough.

 

And although rejection was nowhere near the exception,

I kept trying to prove my love

and that I'm above failure.

 

To get her, you must be confident,

never show fear in the face of danger,

just hit it head on and you'll go on to find her.

 

But wind up bringing yourself down

and you'll end up in your personal inferno,

burning for the desire,

but never finding somebody to light your fire...
