Shy Guy

Shy Guy

A Poem by Jerisson
"

Video games, they inspire you sometimes.

"
Compare me to Shy Guy,
that dude from Mario.

Doesn't talk too much,
gets squashed all the time,
not really a liked character,
so he wouldn't get many dimes.

Excuse me for disrespecting,
for I was trying to erect a
rhyme for my poem,
so it could flow a certain way,
for that's the game I play.

I would go back to my story,
but it even started to bore me.

Let's just say I'm not like
the average Lawtown kid or the like.

I may have been raised in the same
but I am different
while the others remain indifferent
to the title "playa".

Ironically, I'm a playa-hater
So they say I'm a b***h,
cater to a woman's every whim.

Well I have my own self-respect and rights,
but with a girl, I'll never start a fight.

Chivalry's in my blood,
even though I live in a hood.

Gonna stand by my tactics,
even though girls here are attracted
to the bad boys, playas, and the same,
I'm one who never bothered playing the game.

I'm a shy kid who looks and acts funny,
never got be out whether it's snowy or sunny.
Just got out to be free, and as I see
nobody in this city is like me.

I'm a frantic romantic,
an anarchist against corruption,
a competitive game-freak,
and a master of deception.

But I still remain me,
while controlling the bad.
The fact that I can't get a girl
is what's making me sad.

I have never had what they call game.
I never had that type of playa fame.

But I'll remain with my beliefs
till the day I die.
And hopefully in my life,
my wife will have walked down the aisle...
