Fairy Tale

Fairy Tale

A Poem by Jerisson
"

A little dedication to an old flame.

"
Baby, you're fly,
like a monarch butterfly.

And in a monarchy,
you'd be the beautiful queen.
I'd be the striving peasant,
trying to go and be your king.

Your knight in shining armor,
for angels praise when you sing,
and I'm not risking missing you.

Most stories display a damsel in distress,
but you wouldn't rest at night,
always prepared to fight back
an attack, but answer my call please.

I'm about to fall into a pit,
into an abyss of soul,
that essence that connects us and makes us whole.

Now let the fantasy unfold,
into a beautiful Romeo and Juliet story,
without the death, and with life,
without the strife that will tear us apart,
but bring our hearts closer together,
where we'll live forever.

Even though life doesn't always have a happily ever after,
all I'm after is your happiness,
and that will let me rest happily...
