Polar Play

Polar Play

A Poem by Jerisson
"

Flip two sides of a coin, still got a coin.

"
I see negatively
cause there is no positive
inside my inverted mind.

There is no day,
only night.
My thoughts shine
all the time
with their might,

and I'm really never right.
You've just been convinced that I am,
so you follow in my master plan.

Now we're going to have a problem
cause your job now is to follow society
that have deprived thee of creativity.

My negative is a polar opposite
to the positive,
but it's one and the same.

They repel each other in this game
when the fame declares I'm wrong,
but I win in paper,
type,
and song.

Now sing along
in my chant of rebellion
for it's depressing how we're in a recession
while the elite remain in succession.

You might think I'm crazy,
that my mind is zany,
cause plainly
this is sad.

Still, don't get mad,
get glad,
even if the situation is bad.

So now what,
I follow through and bash through
everything in front of me, and all I see that is corrupt
will fall and I will fight my own way.

This is our day, so let's the play the game
our way since we never had
a say. Keep on moving
through the night

until you realize your eyes
have been closed the whole time
and they've been opened by my rhymes.

Let my backwards mind
show you the ways
of the new days where there is no backwards
cause we're always moving forward.
