What do you want?

What do you want?

A Poem by Azurel

Fur coat, glistening dresses,
Expensive toys, gorgeous Christmas tree,
Sparkling candles, big turkeys,
It is the wonderful Christmas that everyone dreams of.
So tell me, why are you upset?
Are they not enough for you?
Or you want more gifts?
Or a bigger feast?
Oh tell me, what do you want?

No, I don't want those vanity things.
I just want my parents' arms.
I just want my siblings' smiles.
I just want my family.

Flaws are our humanity... My thoughts toward your piece: you touch upon what has meaning and worth - our hearts and familes - sharing because we can.

"Glistening dresses" or "dresses that glisten." Although I'd probably stick to "glistening dresses." It fits in better and uses fewer words. Aside from, a sweet poem. Family is truly a blessing to have. I like this one. Merry Christmas by the way :) Azurel
