UntitledA Poem by AzurelThe red train ran through the green field, Twirling the weeds around. He gave her a perse clover, Her cheeks flushed more than ever. The red train ran through the green field, Full of shining sunbeam. From the glass layer of his window-sill, His eyes caught a more flaring sun. The train ran through the green field, Which was green no more. She gazed at the silent soldier, Then softly kissed his hand "Just go - I'll wait forever". The gray train ran through the gray field, Dim smokes flowed into the sky. "If you winds could hear my voice, Please send it to someone far away." And vanished into the moonlight shadow. War had ended The train stopped at the old station. The soldiers were back. "But he wasn't." The field was still green, Through which no trains ran In the pale light of a dull glean, That damsel remained waiting. No tears dropped, just her heart weeping. From the wind there came a whisper... ...so close... Once more The red train ran through the green field of memories, Behind the window, twinkled a smile.
