Could be worse

Could be worse

A Poem by Azsa Wild
"

Violent Silence

"
The clouds of mind so dark and grey
Pitiful rain on a sunny glaze
Wear my wide brim wear my rays
That nuclear fusion should fade away
The systems easy the systems fun
We got to vote the day is almost done
My fridge is empty I have no car
but I pay the fare for the shelter and bar
How ungrateful how needy I be
for I must be blind the world across the sea
Yes vaccinate the globe it was so simple then
And still starving children weep why and when
Hope restored our savvy leaders
Saluted history for the misread readers
Fact checkers fact checking f*****g you up
you said it seemed off we said WRONG WRONG WRONG
now listen all peasants the world is nigh
so make us a sandwich and dont you cry
oh sorry dear reader
I am losing the sense
to make any
any of this
The water is dirty here in the mighty Australia beach
Employment is rife and it is most certainly out of reach
we needed a tap to secure the taste
and now it is world war three we faced
and faces so many masked and two
mandates vision a future collar blue
no need to thank them they have us in mind
these politicans care so just do what we do
Aussies unwind
Just let it all go! have a barbie my friend
Be the racist prick you know you can
blame the migrants the torched and damned
they must of caused it they are not your friend
Yes get another bloody beer and talk s**t to your mates
This beautiful culture that Americans make irate!
We must be the best we do it all!
When it comes to disaster the prime minister stands tall!
We have not sold ourselves offshore we have plenty of money to fall!
No matter the curse we always appear to have a blessing
So cheer up ya flamin mungrel cause it could be worse
Could be a bluey in the back of that hearse.

I am from a mixed race background but i was born and raised in Australia and the culture has been a laugh but when I really examine our great country well it feels like Americans who wake up to themselves...We are not great infact we are pretty f*****

'Could be worse' is so apt, mate! Today's battlers share the act of struggle toward being... and funny how a once migrant nation settled down and became pomes to what once was termed new Aussies or FOBs and such. We still are a migrant nation and will continue to be in the near future... yet the denial and the xenophobia rides along in pace, and now the nation seeks to be woke to boot. Bloody ripper of a yarn here, thanks for sharing your poem/song/composition.
