Wind down wildflower

Wind down wildflower

A Poem by Azsa Wild

The kid would fall asleep real easy
With old country music playing
Moonlighting and good whiskey
Doesn't take much
All he really wants
Is a little quiet
And a lot of love

Wind down wildflower
Leave those broken dreams behind
Because you are awake for this one
And they see you as the moon And the sun
Lay down by your guitar
In this little room
Just remember
They are waiting in the bed you made for two

The kid would make everyone laugh
Just as easy as making them cry
Never one to reveal his greatest cards
You'll never know the real man from the movie star
But these days the plays over
The stage is bare
Cause he feels in his heart
He doesn't belong there

Wind down wildflower
Leave those broken dreams behind
Because you are awake for this one
And they see you as the moon And the sun
Lay down by your guitar
In this little room
Just remember
They are waiting in the bed you made for two

Someone finally loves you
Yes they love you
They way you always dreamed
Somehow they could do
An they do

And you love them too.

A beautiful song.
I love the chorus. Definitely invokes some great folksy/indie vibes
