Dreamer

A Poem by Azsa Wild

Who wants to be in reality
I can not keep my children healthy and strong
keep them from harm keep them from twisting right from wrong
Love wont come with commercialism
work wont play with patriotism
In this world
Held back
even have to pay to hear the entire song
No debt Nothing to pay
Dream my life away
Why wake up
to witness a painted sky
to hear another leader lie
Trying to confide that costs me
Trying to hide that exposes me
Even walking can take a hole to my pocket
Do they even know if they are flying a real rocket
Are we born to be labelled
is reality conspiracy
and dreaming a luxury
no wonder they want us to die
no wonder they work us all day and all night
no debt nothing to pay
no taxes no fees
nothing forced upon us
laws that protect them
but ruin us
A safety where we can say what we want to say
Dream my life away
Dreaming my life away
Gen X Gen Y Gen Z
An LGBTQAI
Tell me f*****g why
why
why are we doing this to ourselves
Did you know the comedians normalise this
and you cant f*****g laugh cause not only do you have no humour
you have no f*****g conscious
The hypocrisy the double standard the attention we crave
Goes beyond this
Get off your f*****g screen
Go and experience something traumatic
not serene
privileged so f*****g privileged beyond belief
So f*****g racist
discriminating
bigotry and alienation'
damnation
Hit the pillow
Dream my life away
who the f**k wants to wake up
yesterday tomorrow today
f**k it.
