No Crowns

No Crowns

A Poem by Azsa Wild

Lyrics (No Crowns)

Taste the hypocrisy isn't is sour
Commercial Industrial feed you the sweet hour
I'm overfed I've binged I regret
To inform you

The world is not the news
The world is psychological abuse

Oh my, did we find our calling
Only to die falling

Oh why, did we cry
When it wasn't our house burning

There's still compassion
There's still empathy
There's still humans roaming
I can't stop searching

Command yourself above everything else
How does those corporate wings feel
In anti gravity disguised with pretty paper

The world isn't over
The world hasn't begun
Don't take it for granted
Don't have too much fun

Royalty is a filthy corruption
Outsiders come in and show what is trust
What did Diana tell us?

No Crowns for false prophets
No jewels for fraudulent snobs

No more money to the established
Do we need a world of Robin Hoods

No Crowns for no hero's
No more shine for the transparent

Oh my, did we find our calling
Only to die falling

Oh why, did we cry
When it wasn't our house burning

There's still compassion
There's still empathy
There's still humans roaming
I can't stop searching
