Nightcap

Nightcap

A Poem by Azsa Wild

Lyrix {Nightcap}

It's easier to dream
Like what dreams may come
It hurts more to come undone
For what was never at your fault

Fire burns those with thin skin
Water drowns those who choose not to swim
For all the disadvanted I am sorry
In small cases I honestly should be
But I am sick and f*****g tired
Of the attention the offended keep getting

I prayed I lied to survive
I begged I wished to die
From up above
To down below
Nobody knows
Nobody can write the book
Sing the song
But they can spread some words
They can spread some hypocrisy
Hate and bigotry
Look at our flaws
We call victories

I came close I just held off the cliff
Pulled myself up last time
When I realised

I can make a difference
And love is like a river
In such darkness
I can still swim against the tide

Sweet dreams
Real life
Sweet dreams
Goodnight

Sincere humans
Really exist
Honest politicians
In the mist

The mountain has us in its sights
One step, one step at a time
New heights
In a new life

Sweet dreams
Goodnight....
