LabyrinthA Poem by Azsa Wild
Like a trip I wouldn't know
I just go with the flow And still the world is a circus Taming lions fighting fires leaping off falling in I don't need the words I don't crave the lies Tell me I'm beautiful I'll tell you what's beyond the sky Listen to you're body Listen to you're brain Complex is the half of it The other is common sense We all want love we often settle for sex Me I know what's best I don't need games I don't slave for fools Tell me I'm ugly I'll tell you whose desired behind closed doors Open up you're desires Open up you're eyes Education is the half of it The other is the wisdom of the streets We all want life we often settle for money Me I know what's best Freedom is no longer a choice If you won't see beyond you're ego Forever a nasty cycle Up for sale and sold for a dime or gas for a mile Deadly weapon is beneath the skin But I've kissed it external internal and scarred Nobody belongs behind the bars If they haven't murdered for fun Why do we still give the bullies the guns Close the hate knocking on the door Close the thought of never being enough Just take a good look at leaders priests and teachers An see those in gluttony see those hidden sin I know what's best The good soul will bleed out Even as it repeatedly wins We all know they way Inside this labyrinth... Stop asking for the key That dangles in front of you And hangs on a chain worn upon thee © 2019 Azsa Wild |
