Lie

Lie

A Poem by Azsa Wild
"

Inspired by Madame X by Madonna

"
I have to use my voice
I have no other choice
Why does it have to rhyme
All the f*****g time
Well you're brain cells can only tell
what I'm saying when I chime in
Hear it when it's read
The words up in my head
The melodys we harmonize all the lyrics all the crimes of hate
What did we create
Never understanding how the bystander effect
Is now as concrete as the blood on the cement
I'm craving a change a choice that I make
Not one that's made for me
I'm engraving a name a list of the elitist
Not one will stand behind me
Without anonymity
Cause

We live in a lie
No matter the signs
No wonder we raise the suicide
We live in a lie
Conveniently with pride
What else will they hide
In the truth we call a lie

I have to speak my mind
Get it out in time
Before they kill me
Knowledge is true power
A dangerous place to dwell
By the way that subject "time"
No such thing
Cause it's a control mechanism we made
To be free
What's that
Who knows where the natural wonders grow
Who knows who knows who cares!?
We have to get out of here
Its taken control
Die lonely die old
An have no story told
Just a recap of cliches
How about a revolution
How about a silent protest
How about we walk away
From the depression the oppression the regret the mistakes

We live in a lie
No matter the signs
No wonder we raise the suicide
We live in a lie
Conveniently with pride
What else will they hide
In the truth we call a lie
