Mistaken for human

Mistaken for human

A Poem by Azsa Wild

At a later date
You could give me the child, you neglected me
At a later date
You could love me like you said you did

I've been tired, restless and sore
Maybe I'm just neurotic
A little insecure
A broken record store
Have you felt mistaken...
For human

At a different time in a different world
My heart was never broken
And I conquered the God's
Spoke scriptures and wore my scars
Battled the greatest villains
Til the soul was still
And the earth was loved

Have you ever been mistaken....
For human?

At a later date
You could keep your promise, to save me
At a later date
You can still redeem my advances

I've been cruel, manic and sad
Maybe a little psychotic
A little demure
A wicked witching core
Have you been mistaken
For human

For human

When the stakes are high
And the loyaltys low
Do you dare gamble your image
Or does the money flow
By what you sacrifice and who you know
Or would you love to watch it burn
Watch the world burn....

To begin again....

Have you ever been mistaken....
For human.
