Under Construction

Under Construction

A Poem by Azsa Wild

Love doesn't come with insurance
It's cash in hand all or nothing
An I've been alright on my own....
Let's just split down the middle
I'll take my heart
You can keep the home

Hate always comes with intention
It's cruel or a good sense of attention
Dressed to the nines
She's gonna win the fight

All night....

Our love is down for destruction
Once worthy and under construction
Now all we have is tools left in the shed
My soul my heart my mind has bled!

Life isn't coming for no one
Hope you got a strong belief
In yourself and your battered dreams
Find a vice and get some relief

I don't do or die
I walk away and survive
But now you got me thinking
It even made me stop drinking

Our love is down for destruction
Once worthy and under construction
Now all we have is tools left in the shed
My soul my heart my mind has bled!

Good love Doesn't come with instruction
True love is often under construction

So get a plan and put those blood sweat and tears
To the use of a truce and a romance to boot
Betta get yourselves together and locate the loot
Hearts glued together resistance to all kinds of weather....

Our love is down for destruction
Once worthy and under construction

(Now where is my f*****g toolbox?)

I liked the clever use of construction metaphors in describing the relationship. Indeed, "True love is often under construction." You really do have to work at it, or it will fall down. Good work.
