Choices

Choices

A Poem by Azsa Wild

I'd do anything to keep the pace
To keep up with the human race
To kill innocence to start a war
To destroy homes with napalm
Get a kick out of C-4
Be the one with no concious
To hit the nuclear button
To watch the children starve
An discriminate so easily

No. No that is not me.
An no. I am not sorry.
That I want to live.
With eyes open
An nobodys hearts are broken
Nobodys truth gets choked
No household provoked
Money we dont have
Bled from us
With tears and degradation
No self respect just a challenged nation
To sell our souls
Cause they teach us it's worth it

Choices made for us
Choices to die
Living is a lie
Loving is a crime

Maybe in the next life
Maybe then
It will all be alright
