Starshine Crisis

Starshine Crisis

A Poem by Azsa Wild
"

Listening to Greta Van Fleet just got inspired

"
we ask for too much
we don't deserve shoes and a shirt
we weren't born with a silver spoon
so we deserve the impending doom

Baby I'm walking away
before I get arrested
for serving justice

Baby Don't lead us astray
stay pure
because of the other prison
isn't worth it

I'm gonna sail my thoughts across the ocean
Let my truth find land
let my truth find land

Baby don't call it what it is
they loathe reality and our emotional excess
like Carlin said
nobody cares
like Martin Luther said
I have a dream
and like I said
Let's just keep sleeping

it's not that I have given up
its just the record is melting
I want off grid
I want mountain high

take me to the stars
above this polluted sky

We are too kind
Too much heart
Way too much mind

We are too Sweet
Too much inequity
No Shoes No shirt No retreat

It is our starshine crisis
Where are your gods now
We fight this

it is our starshine crisis
When do we find peace how
we just wish

To feel the sun on a babies face
To hear laughter from our children
To open the door to our sanctuary
To say yes instead of maybe
To be in control
To know unconditional love
To be blind and deaf to self hate
and no one souls future be up for any debate

Simply free
We no longer roll the devils dices
We survive
The starshine crisis
