It's only money

It's only money

A Poem by Azsa Wild

Won by a long mile
Watched my foes turn vile
An my family
Finally talk to me

The ocean was my only friend
When it came to finding sanctuary
The sand kept me grounded
And the breeze taught patience
is unfounded

Its only money
It's only money
It bought pretty things
It paid off many pains

An everything now
Still feels the same

What to do with it matters
The homeless hungry so serve platters
Silver spoons come in two
One holds poison
The other can be toxic

Children needing education
Shoes on there feet
Money can work wonders
But why am I helping the government

Its only money
It's only money
It bought pretty things
It paid off many pains

An everything now
Still feels the same

If only money
Wasn't paper to burn
But respect and compassion
We give we earn we use love
As the only currency
