No more to giveA Poem by Azsa WildListening to Leo Sayer (giving it all away) a favourite
How can I tell the moon from the sun
with whiskey drowning out my eyes and the windows are covered in steel When I wake up I'll miss you because in my dreams you were not the monster I feel I created leaving all my lovers in pain mislead and thrown from the cradle These days I lay around I don't clown about I am still eaten up a little from silence Abandoned what may have been my only family but I am getting use to starting over and over again Now I can tell the sun from the moon like a star from a grain of sand One will live above you and the other beneath So far I am happy enough to live in the middle and let it shine in its own peculiar way Twenty nine teen and I have been sober since day one sure it has been awkward and miserable We all have those days I just need to drown myself in other substances Music acting the arts I left behind I have to climb climb in How can I tell the talent from the lost lonely soul Now I can because I am a man from the courage to the knowledge As eager as the sunrise and as free as the wind No more laying down In my tears We are getting out of here just when I thought there was nothing left to give when I thought I made peace with it She moved and painted She reminded me of a moment and it was screaming inside of me my art is not over because my love is still growing stronger every hour of every day The time to heal is the time we leave to societys ignorance So waking up Ill never hate again My love is the leader our love is the guide No more to give from that side of hate and resentment True pain true misery and the shadow depression is inside here but I will beat it and own it without hesitation There is so much more so much more to give if you will allow me to give it if you will allow yourself to take it
