2 Poems of Downward SpiralsA Poem by LA WaningUnder Moon
The happiness that we've forgotten lay behind us malignant and rotten discarded as a child in the darkness it has begotten a brood of regrets to fester the hunger to linger the death for the things we can't save for our life already lost they spawn lunacy lunacy atrophy under moon and over earth travel long in a hearse all your days end in a coffin under earth to spite the sky love your grave and don't ask why you should know you'll be a place for flowers to grow for trees to know you should know in atrophy under moon lunacy for the things we save for the lives in vain they fester the hunger they linger our death a beast of regret discarded and scorned lies behind us brooding the shame My Blizzard I can't even remember the things I enjoy I cannot envision the faces of the instruments I employ Whenever I try to look past the glass well that's when the snow comes down and I try to see past my blizzard but I just can't see your rain at least here behind my banks I'm finally safe from the pain Here away so far from town the snow falls like angel's down least there's no one to see my kingdom of sin or the state that I'm in well I'm so frozen and frosted my heart's pumping cold I had your heat but I lost it now if he came along I'd let the Devil in I'd let the Devil in and all of his flames for my home is already the den of a liar and I fear no fire and I cannot fear flame for far away the rain comes down and you're drowning in pain © 2014 LA WaningReviews
