The Dawn - A Love Poem

The Dawn - A Love Poem

A Poem by LA Waning

Look the way the water glows
the dawn coming for a meeting
in a cone of light splitting the lake
the loons are crying us a greeting
I'll pull you closer to my side
for moments like this are so fleeting
bathed in morning's first shine
underneath red clouds purple bleeding
embraced as sky and land and water
we start to feel our heart beating
let us kiss let us be
the dark of night receding
