A Poem by Azhar Ali

Who has evoked a robust ripple?
To keep my heart from turning brittle,
Egged me on to rejoice in being
Song thrush in a daisy rich thistle.

Welcome fresh breeze in the spirit dale
Breathing new life in the flowers frail
Fear no more the illusory demons
Cascading angels are here to hail.

Translucent clouds let gliding moon
 Gaze at the earth below.
Less lonely voyager should lose their way
And wander to and fro.

No less is Raya a guiding star
 Heralding brightly, celestial calm
She knows well how blissful is her
Tender, touching, and euphonic psalm.

She is one with the sea and waves
As snow-covered yard, she craves
When nearby lake she runs to fathom
A fish leaps up and gleefully waves.
