Raw Comfort

Raw Comfort

A Poem by Jezebel Marie
"

Sometimes I get real mushy and gushy and in love. Sorry.

"

Light streams through the window and we are bathed in white...
And we are so pale, so pure... So perfect.

You are shimmering beneath the haze.
Your icy blue eyes are hiding nothing,
and I feel safe and bare and vulnerable...
And almost beautiful.

There's nothing to hide beneath the smiles
that keep returning to our conscious faces.
After all this time the butterflies still rise to my chest.
Their wings cannot be burdened by the water raining down on our heads.

Your poem is beautiful and very poetic. I really enjoyed the love that I could see in it, and that really makes me think that sometimes people don't really know what love is.
