We Stood and We Flew...A Poem by A.N.W.This poem is about a decision; life or death. It is about the beauty and power of nature, and the beauty and power of the decisions we make.
We stood by the sea,
Seeing the waves, beautiful And deadly, sweeping away. The cool calm crash of the waves, That surely could sweep me away, Home to many graves, Including my own. It covers only my feet, But still my breath grows weak, I am drowning deep with dread And thought. By what God has wrought. Beauty and power, Life or death. Rests by the ocean side, And buried in my heart. ...... We stood by the ocean, Covered with shame. Man overboard, I cry, And I suddenly fly again.
