"

faces come out of the rain...

"
memories
triggered by smell
place, or touch
become real

this is a succinct and poignant statement. it's true our senses can immediately conjure up memories both good and bad, and sometimes 'bittersweet.' even when we try to forget, it is inevitable that memories come flooding back if not for a certain scent. excellent observation.

No matter what made them to be remembered, they are always a strong part of who we are.
I find myself in my world of memories quite often. Trying to keep them real and not how I would want to be is sometimes difficult... but that's the beauty of memories.
Now that I've written probably five times what your wrote, I'll shut up.
Good thoughts, John.

Memories are very fickle. Sometimes they come into the mind and beg to be noticed others are fleeting. Well done here.

It's wonderful when memories come real again...and a little sad...
