My Thanksgiving

My Thanksgiving

A Poem by John Jackson (El Juero)
"

It didn't used to be this way...

"
in my life.
there was a time,
not so long ago,
when I lived to drink
and drank to live.

it was a crushing paradox,
a maze in the mind,
where entry and exit
are in the same spot,
separated by a time warp.

still finding my way,
accepting the realities
of a real world.
embracing the gifts,
of love and life.

This is my Thanksgiving...

John, we all have are little paradoxes, it is only the strong ones who thru diligent effort find some clues to the riddles of our own minds. I understand your plight, and I celebrate with you my friend. Happy the rest of your life!!

We should all be grateful when personal transformation takes place in such a way that we can reap the benefits. Happy Thanksgiving, John.
