nine-eleven-twenty aught one

A Poem by John Jackson (El Juero)

Brilliant acknowledgement of the horrific losses from that day and that continue even now. Well done, John.

This is very heartfelt. The pacing was nicely done and I liked the wordplay at the end. I was very close to Manhattan on 9/11 and vaguely remember what I was doing, I can't believe its been ten years. Nicely done.

there are axis upon which the world has turned, like that asteroid the dinosaurs watched in the sky, like pearl harbor, like that september morn still etched in our eyes
