Into the wildA Poem by ayejodieWhen a regular life, is not for you.
Try to tame a tiger,
And one day you'll die. Wild like fire, But yet your willing to try. Her anger is fierce, She will burn down the trees, Those perfectly aligned ones In your suburban streets. Causing pavements to crack And cut grass to grow. There's no going back, And I know that you know. She left it to burn, To go out and play. Just Another town But, She still ran away. They throw rocks at her fingers, Build houses on streets, But a tiger can't live With the prey she eats. She knows, she does, They'll try catch her again. And she might think it's time To maybe let them... She will cook, sometimes clean Even drive your nice car, But the wild calls her back It's never too far. You begin to settle, You might now have her tamed. Yet she's dreaming of freedom, She cannot be trained. Then one day at home, When you think we're too old To play cat and mouse, She decides to be bold. Off-white walls, Now fall in flames With the settled life, Because the wild remains.... © 2018 ayejodieAuthor's Note
