Alive Inside

Take what you want. Be who you want. Do what you want.

I don't know what i'm doing,

My heart has taken control.

I am walking blindly, 

towards whatever she wants.

Her strength pouring through my veins.

I feel her so strongly now,

determined, powerful.

Like a fire in my chest,

I have no control

-as she leads me astray.

Forgetting everything,

I was programmed to know.

Breaking down her own walls, 

beautiful and raw.

Just beating, unafraid of pain,

-resilient now. 

Everything I should care about

forgotten, 

As she marches toward a life she wants to live,

toward a love she's never known.

A glitch in the system,

And I let it take over my body.

Leaving everything behind,

I follow my heart. 

Impossible not to..

She rages on, pushing everything out of her way. 

And in this moment, It is beautiful.

To not care about the world, 

To only feel. 

Her strength overpowering any pain.

I am free from everything,

I allow her to take over, 

and I am free.
