[Games- All I Know]

[Games- All I Know]

A Poem by ayejodie

I'll show my legs tonight.
A nice tight dress and my hair draped down my back.
Everything slowed down.
Thick black lashes flash a glimpse of my piercing blue eyes.
And only the slightest half smile as I turn away.

Red-blood curls snake over my shoulder.
revealing the sweat on my chest glimmering from the strobe lights.
There's a dulling heat in the crowded room of hopefuls.
Wearing only black as I am drowned in dance.
I have no control over my body..
But all control of his..

The show ends as I leave the floor.
Knowing he Is watching,
I walk with a sway throwing half a glance.
I'll tease him with my walk,
And walk right past..shutting down his invitation.
Easily fooled, fools..

A double please, clutching on to this persona.
Strong and fierce. I make the most of it.
I make the most of this temptation.
I Know what I am doing,
After so much practice..this is all I know.
Until tomorrow.

When I am just a girl.
I am your girl..
I have no idea what I am doing.

                                                                   And you have all control.

It ain't easy being a lady dancing.

"A double please, clutching on to this persona." Nice line. The word "purse" usually follows the word "clutching." Clever.

This was written well and I say that because I can hear your voice clearly here and and that makes it real to me. Nice!
