Stranger to stranger

Stranger to stranger

A Poem by Anastasia Rae

We started as strangers who met at the park,
during baseball practice just before dark.
We were young when we first met,
didn't know how close we would get.
We hung out every time you came down,
you were so much fun to be around.
I don't remember how long you were here,
but when you left i shed some tears.
Now baseball season makes my heart ache,
cuz losing touch with you was a total mistake.
I walk past your old house and give a little smile,
standing there remembering for a while.
It's hard to forget about you,
though there's so little memories to go through.
I wish i could tell you all this to your face,
but I'll just keep hoping I'll see you another time and place.

Very nice write! has a nice tempo and wave to it. (for lack of a better phrase) I really liked it. It expresses both longing and loss in ways that touch my heart.

Great write.
