Earthquake

Earthquake

A Poem by Jordan Warren

You put a knife to my throat
Your lips on mine
My blood on your hands
I've never be so happy to die

You shake the ground everything is built on
Reducing me to shambles
To rubble and dust
I've never been so happy to come apart

You take words and air from my lungs
Leaving me speechless, helpless, defenseless
Nowhere left for me to hide
I've never been so happy to be exposed

You have no logic, no rhyme, no reason
You have me wrapped around your finger

for M
