True Love is Never Lost

Something that has been on my mind for a while

 

True love is never lost….

 

True love is never lost,

It is found in a word, spoken by a stranger

True love is never lost,

It is found in a song, heard on the radio

True love is never lost,

It is found in a journal, never forgotten

True love is never lost,

It is found in a voice, remembered and replayed

True love is never lost,

It is found in a book, read years later

True love is never lost,

It is found in a heart, broken, damaged, repaired, loved, lost, redeemed, unwavering, predictable and strong.

True love is never lost, it lives in me.

 

Just because a person CAN’T be with someone, does not mean that they have forgotten who that person is and why they fell in love in the first place. Sometimes things happen that cause guilt, shame and despair to the point that a relationship cannot be repaired. However, the joy, love and laughter that the relationship brought will live on in the person who experienced it for a lifetime. Thank the ones who loved you, forgive the ones who hurt you and remember the ones who count!

Sweet!!!!! and very true, for as long as the mind can recall memory, good and bad than we should forever remember true love. If we forget than it wasn't true love at all.

Very beautiful poem, I loved it. Great flow, and use of a repetitive line.
