A Poem by a wildfire
"

a jumbled mess of words.

"

its octoberfest and we're in the kitchen
everyone else is outside drinking beer
but we're eating pickles, chips and salsa.
-

electric guitars
and busy cars
words and people
passing by
tune it out
keep walking
keep pushing through the crowd
driving nowhere
stuck in traffic
wanting to be home instead.
-

tell me another story.
is this art
am i dead
do you even hear me?
blank pages and empty ink pens
don't amount to much
-

dear winter,
please stop making me sad. and messing up my hair. you know that i'm not ready for you yet. everyone says its already snowing back home. i didn't miss you while you were gone.
-

my little hat and scarf
will accompany me
throughout these long months
and despite how silly i look
i will wear them anyway.
-

oh christmas tree, oh christmas tree
i love your bulbs and lights and stuff.
