~one~

~one~

A Poem by Grace

you try to forget me

but you never will;

i am still here

and will always be~

why won’t you

hear me;

see me,

touch me~

this missing you

leaves me gaunt

of both heart

and soul~

yet foolishly

i forever

and gratefully,

bear this pain

of missing you;

for it proves

that I still live~

my strength in flux

with the ridiculous

of my heart’s beat;

i cringe as

each pitiful beat

reminds me,

of the way I felt

that very last time

your words

did touch me~

and so I choose

to forever remember

that you left me here

on purpose;

forever unfinished

infinitely incomplete,

in this being me

without you~

This poem was great. I was saddened reading it, but life isn't always a bed of roses, so this poem touched my soul and that was it's intention. Great job!
